Freshfields Nursery is recognised as an educational facility, registered for the reedemption of The Governments Nursery Grant Scheme
The Nursery Education Grant is a government scheme which enables every child to have access to free early years education before they start school.
Currently, the scheme means that children are entitled to up to a maximum of 5 free educational sessions per week at a nursery or pre-school that is registered for the Nursery Education Grant.
Freshfields Nursery can make a claim on your behalf when your child becomes eligible after their third birthday as per table below:

1 April and 31 August | 1 September following their third birthday |
1 September and 31 December | 1 January following their third birthday |
1 January and 31 March | 1 April following their third birthday |
The grant is paid during term time only throughout the year over a total of 38 weeks which run in three terms starting in September for the Autumn Term, with January for the Spring Term and approx April for the Summer Term (depending on when Easter falls).
The 38 weeks are split as follows:
Autumn Term 2008 = 13 weeks
Spring Term 2009 = 11 weeks
Summer Term 2009 = 14 weeks (To Be Confirmed)
The monetary amount of the grant is set by the Government and has no bearing on the amount we charge for fees.
For attendance out of Term time, Freshfields normal fee structure applies.
