3 to 5 Years.
Located on the first floor of the Manor House, the three to five year old area operates from two main base rooms. These are the red and green rooms. As well as the Children's base room, there is a free flow system for the Children to use our role play room, which always includes a themed, role play, and construction area. Our large messy room contains a vast range of creative activities such as art easels, sand and water play, and clay modelling.
In addition to the base rooms, the Children benefit from our purpose built Dining Room located in the rear play ground. It is here that the Children enjoy their cookery classes, and where one of our Chefs comes to show the Children how their food is prepared and to discuss with them where the food comes from.
We believe that Outdoor Play is very important in your child's development. Here at Freshfields we are unique in that we have over an acre of private garden around the Manor House for the children to be able to play in a healthy and safe environment. When the weather is a little inclement we have two purpose built out door covered areas for the children to enjoy. With our rural location countryside walks are a favourite, and the Children also benefit from the Nursery's own Mini-farm
Another favourites are Tots Tune Time, with music and movement sessions, French Classes, and our Soft Play zone.
To ensure that Our Children at Freshfields are given ever opportunity to develop, we provide a balance of adult and child led activities in our highly resourced classrooms.
Within our 3 to 5 Year old zones, Freshfields embraces The Foundation Stage which is a curriculum designed for the Children to develop through play.
To also support the learning objectives of the Children, here at Freshfields we provide numerous trips and educational visits. Some of the favourites so far have been to The Sea Life Centre, West Midlands Safari Park and Cadbury World to name a few. Transport is provided by The Nurseries own minibuses.
Freshfields belives that communication and inter-action between staff and parents is very important. We are more than happy to discuss your child's progress with you at any time, and you are always welcome into the Classrooms.
We hold various parents evenings, The July event incorporates a through discussion of your Childs development as they prepare to move onto Primary School. We create a Transfer Profile which is then passed onto your Childs next school.
