Main House, Ground Floor
Clifford Forge House is a 17th Century Manor House, located in over an acre of its own private gardens. Purchased in 1998 the Manor house has been extensively refurbished, specifically to provide superb facilities for the care and education of our children.
The ground floor is the location for our birth to 18 month olds. Here our babies enjoy three well resourced and homely activity rooms. Within these light and spacious areas there is an abundance of equipment and resources that are specifically designed to aid the development of this age group. At meal times our babies progress from high chairs to purpose built, size appropriate tables and armed chairs, which helps aid their independence when eating, and provides for a sociable meal time experience.To help maintain our high standards of hygiene, the ground floor activity rooms are shoe free zones.
At Freshfields we maintain the highest staffing levels to ensure that the children are provided with the care and attention they deserve. To ensure this, we practise a key worker system so that each individual child has their own member of staff to care for their every need.
Each of our baby rooms are staffed with Nursery practitioners who have a wealth of experience and training in the care and education of younger children. We have a separate baby changing room which stocks a comprehensive range of approved baby products and at Freshfields we provide fresh linen and bibs for every child. All of our ground floor areas enjoy easy access to our extensive out door play areas and gardens.
Whilst play and education is very important, we also believe that sufficient rest is also very necessary for the children to feel relaxed and energised for learning. With this in mind the ground floor is also the location of our Sleep Room. Here the children can rest in an environment that not only is safe and secure, but also provides specifically designed baby cots for every child, in a room which has many sensory lights and aids with relaxing music to encourage restful sleep.
