Outdoor Play Areas & Gardens
Freshfields Nursery, located at Clifford Forge House enjoys over an acre of its own walled private gardens. Here our children can benefit from outdoor play in a safe environment, well outside the confines of the town.
At Freshfields we have a large range of climbing apparatus, which helps to develop the children's gross motor skills, as well as being good fun. We also have a purpose built tree-house in the orchard which provides the opportunity for our children to use their imagination in pretend and role play games
Within the Nursery grounds we provide outdoor classrooms, in which our staff cover the areas of the Eary Years Foundation stage for pre school including mathematics and literacy. To assist in our children's development we encourage outside group play times, where we play ring games with music and movement.
As sport is also another important aspect in any child's development at Freshfields, we have a range of sporting equipment for the children, with tennis, skittles and hoops being some of the favourites.
To promote physical knowledge and understanding of the world, we have developed an outside construction corner, where the children are encouraged to play with water, sand and building blocks.
At Freshfields Nursery we have spacious and safe out door areas and gardens for your children to explore and use daily, helping them to stay healthy and fit, whilst still learning at the same time.
